Graduates awarded the Certificate in Tertiary Learning and Teaching (Level 5) will:

Reflects on own practice and explores options to improve
Shows responsiveness to feedback and applies learning to improve practice.
Can articulate a developing philosophy of teaching and learning
Is aware of the wider educational community and can access information/research and networks within this community
Can articulate core theories of learning and adult learning and apply these to practice
Designs, implements and evaluates curriculum activities competently using a variety of information technologies
Understands the cultural context and diversity of learners in Aotearoa and the implications for teaching and learning
Creates effective learning environments for successful student learning and can identify what makes learning successful
Has experience of simple research activity and is developing skills of gathering evidence of learner benefit for changes in practice.
