About the course

Graduates will be able to operate as beauty therapy practitioners. Graduates may be employed in a clinic, pharmacy or cosmetic retail outlet. Graduates will be able to carry out activities of: Cosmetologist, Beautician, Body Therapist, Electrologist. They will have knowledge of: OSH requirements & regulations, First Aid, Retailing, Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition, Cosmetic Science, Electrical treatments.

Entry requirements

Minimum four year secondary and 48+ credits at NCEA Level 2+, 12 credits each in four subjects (preferably English & Science) and 12 credits English Level 1 and & 12 credits Science Level 1 or equivalent NQF units. May be accepted on life skills or work experience.
